Trailer – “No Sudden Move”

By Matt Neglia

Warner Bros. has released the trailer for Steven Soderbergh’s newest film “No Sudden Move,” starring Don Cheadle, Benicio del Toro, David Harbour, Ray Liotta, Jon Hamm, Brendan Fraser, Kieran Culkin, Amy Seimetz & Julia Fox. The film will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival followed by its streaming release on HBO Max on July 1st.

Plot Synopsis: In 1955 Detroit, a group of small-time criminals are hired to steal emerging car technology. When their plan goes horribly wrong, their search for who hired them – and for what ultimate purpose – weaves them through all echelons of the race-torn, rapidly changing city.

What do you all think of the trailer? Steven Soderbergh can be incredibly hit or miss, but one thing is for sure, you can never say he’s boring. This looks like quite a bit of fun, and the cast is appropriately stacked for a Steven Soderbergh film with the spotlight shining on Don Cheadle and Kieran Culkin the most here. I’m excited to see how everyone interacts and with a heist element at play here in this crime film; we know this is where Soderbergh operates at his best. What do you think, though?
