The Full 2017 Cannes Jury Has Been Announced

By Matt Neglia We previously reported on the films which would be appearing at this year’s Cannes film festival. Now we know who the jury members will be as well.

Click below to see who will preside over this year’s jury panel for the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. As we already know, Pedro Almodovar will be the jury president. Jessica Chastain, Agnes Jaoi, Park Chan-wook and Gabriel Jared were also previously announced. Joining them now will be actors Will Smith, Fan Bingbing and directors Paolo Sorrentino and Maren Ade.

Pedro Almodovar is an Academy Award winner for “All About My Mother” which he also won the Best Director prize at Cannes in 1999. Jessica Chastain is an Academy Award nominee who was a part of the Palm d’Or winning film “The Tree Of Life” in 2011. German director Maren Ade stunned audiences last year at Cannes with her film “Toni Erdmann” while Park Chan-wook won prizes for his films “Old Boy” and “Thirst.”

Uma Thurman and French Actress Sandrine Kiberlain were also previously announced as being jury members for the festival’s Un Certain Regard & Camera d’Or prizes earlier this month.
