As reported by Deadline, George Miller’s spinoff to his “Mad Max: Fury Road” will reveal the origins of Furiosa, who will be played by Anya Taylor-Joy (“The Witch“). Chris Hemsworth (“Extraction“) and Yahya Abdul-Mateeen II (“The Trial Of The Chicago 7“) will also star in the film while Warner Bros. will distribute.
After the critical acclaim and financial success of “Mad Max: Fury Road,” many are excited to see Miller’s long-awaited follow-up. While it is unfortunate that Charlize Theron will not be able to reprise her role, it will be interesting to see Anya Taylor-Joy assume this role, as she has previously starred in horror films such as “Split” and “The Witch.”
