The Winner Of The 2017 “Predict The Oscars” Contest

By Matt Neglia The 89th Academy Awards representing the year 2016 in film has officially come to a close. We hope you enjoyed our podcast recap here as well as my article on how “Moonlight” managed to pull off one of the biggest upsets of all time here. It was quite memorable to say the least.

But now, we have our winner of the 2017 “Predict The Oscars” Contest to unveil. Click below to see if you ranked with the top. There may be only one winner but the rest are ranked by how many categories they got right out of 24 and then how close they were to guessing the official runtime of the ceremony. Incomplete forms were disregarded entirely. Congratulations to the winner Jean-Luc Tardif with a score of 19/24!! He correctly predicted a split between “Moonlight” and “La La Land” in Picture and Director and also managed to predict wins for “Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them” in Costume Design & “Hacksaw Ridge” for Sound Mixing and also going 3 for 3 in the shorts categories. Nice job!
