By Matt Neglia The American Cinematographers Society handed out their award tonight for the very best in cinematography for 2016.
And the winner was… Greig Fraser – “Lion“
BIG shocker here. I think everyone had “La La Land” predicted to win here, but I’m very happy to see Greig Fraser receiving some love. He had some tough competition from the following cinematographers who are all also up for the Oscar in nearly three weeks time:
Linus Sandgren for “La La Land“
James Laxton – “Moonlight“
Rodrigo Prieto – “Silence“
Bradford Young – “Arrival“
Congratulations once again. How do you feel about the win? Is “Lion” and Fraser going to win the Oscar for cinematography? You can follow Matt and hear more of his thoughts on the Oscars and Film on Twitter at @NextBestPicture
